Responding to Bach: The Cello Suites
After producing several paintings in
response to music, I photocopied the original then cut out and mixed the
images in order to re-organise the image. The first image is a happy
accident with the photo copier as I only used red paint in the
painting. I liked working in a larger scale than I usually work in and
I'm pleased with the marks that I have created. I need to develop my
use of colour, therefore I'm going to use reds and try to avoid the
usual black and white.
In this experiments I'm drawn to cutting out shapes and repositioning them and mixing between them.
