Textile Society 33rd Annual Conference

The theme for this years conference was Textiles and Architecture.  The keynote speaker was Professor Alice Kettle.  Her talk has made me think more about the place and the environment of where my work belongs. Up to this point in my degree, I have always responded to a brief that has been based around process and materials.  Knowing the place first in my opion is a far easy starting point, rather than trying to find an environment that fits your work.

Jane Scott a contructed textiles lecturer from the University of Leeds, discussed her work with knit and the concept of 'Passive response materials'.
